What are the stages of the client journey at The Kusnacht Practice?
Well, the client's journey with us starts way before the admission. It starts with a very thorough assessment process. And then, of course, once we have clarity on the client's needs, on the particular context that the client has their wishes and wants and preferences, their social environment, the resources, but also the risks and the challenges, we move forward with planning the treatment. The client's average treatment with us is six weeks, bearing in mind that we have clients coming from various backgrounds. We started by treating predominantly addiction, but now we treat the entire spectrum of psychological dysfunction and psychiatric disorders. And we also have a growing number of clients who come to us for lifestyle adjustments, anti-ageing, longevity treatments. We also have a growing number of clients who do not have a diagnosis per se, but they just want to improve their functioning, personal development, become the best version of who they can be. The primary treatment would be the first step client's journey with us. This is what we call the residential stay. So it's probably the most intense step treatment and also gives us the opportunity to really familiarise ourselves with the case and plan the next steps and stages in our client's care. What happens post-discharge we call the Continuing Care. It's open-ended stage in our client's recovery journey that we carefully plan during the primary treatment, and we continue to support and assist them for as long as needed. We act as a safety net in our clients recovery.
What can you expect during the first stage of your journey as a client?
Every client's treatment with us starts with a very thorough case-conceptualisation process. We are gathering as much information as possible about the client and their particular diagnosis. We are gathering all the medical reports. We have assessment calls with the medical professionals involved client's care, with the client himself or herself, with family members. We like to engage with other professionals who are at some point in time assisting the client and gather as much information as possible. It's absolutely mandatory that the three important pillars in our treatment have direct contact with the client and gather information specific to their department. And by that, I mean the medical department, internal medicine, then the biomolecular restoration and psychiatric and psychotherapy departments. Once we have all this information gathered from the client, family, and other professionals involved with the client, we sit down together and we have a case formulation meeting. So the most important leads in that particular case unite in creating the treatment concept, the treatment structure, looking into the content of the treatment, and putting together a plan that would give our clients the best chances of making a successful recovery.
